Embracing Our Humble Beginning: A Journey of Faith and Family

If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I don’t believe in coincidences—just God’s gentle nudges. This little corner of the internet is where I’ll be sharing the beginning of this messy, beautiful journey of starting over with nothing but faith, a wild heart, and a fierce love for my little girl.

I’m Kit—a crafty, slightly feral, semi-nomadic mama doing my best to raise a joyful child, get closer to God, and live a life that’s more rooted in purpose than perfection. We spend part of our time off-grid, living simply and learning as we go. The rest? Selling handmade wares, swapping stories, and chasing dusty roads wherever they lead.

Why “Our Humble Beginnings”?

Because this is just that—a humble start. A fresh beginning from the ashes of what once was. I don’t have it all figured out (far from it!), but I’ve learned that beginnings don’t have to be big or loud. They just have to be honest.

This blog will be a living journal of sorts—documenting our family adventures, the crafts we make with our hands, the small homestead dreams we’re slowly growing, and the faith that’s guiding us through it all. I’ll share the real stuff—the good, the gritty, the God moments. And I hope somewhere in these stories, you’ll find some of your own.
